I’m tearing up, I’m so happy. My heart is so full! Never in my life did I ever think that I’d experience anything like this! I never thought I’d witness something I worked SO hard on—had multiple nervous breakdowns over, I have the brain scans to prove it—being mentioned at an awards ceremony as the Fantasy winner!!! I feel like I’m floating, I’m so happy. Like, is this real? I’m going to cry! Yep, here I go…
If I can do this, if someone like me can fight the shadows and do what they’ve always—ALWAYS—wanted to do, ever since they were tiny and couldn’t even spell… I promise—I promise—YOU can, too. I know it. Just do as Commander Taggart said in Galaxy Quest, “Never give up, never surrender!”
