Black & white *definitely* works better for this photograph.
I feel this, man. My first draft is never 100% accurate. I know it’s wrong, and I have to go back and consult with the characters about what actually happened—I really, sometimes feel like a detective at a crime scene, getting everybody’s statements.
***It doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be progress!***
Had a weird day, so I wrote until about 3AM, for fun… writing makes everything better. I got, like, 5 hours of sleep, but I slept so well!! Wrote a bunch for the sequel to Isaac Moore and Emily Adams, which is told primarily from Nothe’s (aka Bob’s) perspective, which working title is: ‘Bob and Thipka Try Really Hard to Save the World.’
Ha! $10,000 a year?? I make WAY less than that! 😅
Ah, how true this is. I experienced this new reality once in the parking lot of a Target. I helped my toddler out of the car and did a goofy little song and dance, just trying to make him smile, and my preteen said, “Mom, stop…” and looked like he wanted to dig a grave for himself right there.

Samantha Rose is a forever-student at Utah State University, who will one day have her Masters Degree in Psychology. She wrote her first novel in permanent marker on her sister’s vanity chair when she was three-years-old. It wasn’t well received. She currently resides in the mountains, in a little house full of toys, where she’s enjoying her happily ever after with her Prince Charming and three adorable, little bears.
